Ballet II: Ages 8-10
Dancers progress to more rigorous
work at the barre, building on turn-out
and releves, which have been developed
in Pre-Ballet and Ballet I. Students
learn proper carriage of arms and head.  
Dancers practice leaps and jumps.
Ballet III: Ages 10-12
Dancers memorize combinations and
continue to work on strength and
flexibility.
Teens, Ages 12 & Up
Dancers focus on turns and extensions.
Combinations become more complex,
Advanced Teens, Ages 13 & Up
Dancers learn variations from ballets,
such as "Sleeping Beauty," "The
Nutcracker," and "La Bayadere."
Pointe
(Beginning, Intermediate,& Advanced)
Dancers, who have developed proper
turn-out muscles, strong feet, and
proper alignment are invited to take
pointe classes.
While consideration is given to age, students are primarily placed in classes based on their
relative skill levels, as described below. Class offerings and availability are subject to
change each semester. For Ballet Technique class, female dancers wear their hair swept off
the face and neck and tucked in a traditional bun. Ladies wear a leotard, pink tights, and
pink ballet slippers (not to be worn on the street) .   My studio features a fully-sprung,
marley dance floor.
Curriculum & Policies
Baby Ballerinas &Little Ballerinas:
Age 3-5
Dancers learn skills, such as marching,
skipping, galloping, and how to work
in a group.
Ballet I: Ages 6-7
Dancers start to put steps together as
part of a formal dance. More emphasis
is placed on barre technique than in
Pre-Ballet.
